Our Values: What Matters Most
Change with (In)tension,
little by little,
to build a sacred life.
Curiosity: questions, clarity. We read books and scripture and dig deep for the good bits. We look for nuance and build on what we know.
Integrity: rest, reflection, integration, and holding tension. Peacefully observe how those bits intersect our own life, behavior, and beliefs, to make lasting choices for what we want to remember and rebuild. We gain wisdom and live by it.
Connection: honesty/transparency, self leadership. We use what we have to get where we’re going. We can press into difficult places for a higher pursuit. People are always worth it and pretending never is. Silence is cancer.
Compassion: effective action, resilience, vulnerability. Showing care and adding value to the lives of others, whether it’s for a short moment or a lifetime of love, rooted in the care and help we have received from others and from Jesus. We do what we can to keep ourselves and our close circle of people safe, healthy, and growing.
Beauty: If it’s real, it’s beautiful. The natural world, the distinct parts of someone’s story and personality, and the way we treat each other inspires us and fills us with hope.
Friendship: humility, celebration. We see the value in others and take initiative to understand and celebrate them. We know that a friend is a special grace God provides to intersect, cover, and heal our shortcomings.
“Go with what you know.”
